Student Council

The Student Council is a democratic council, with elections taking place in the Autumn term each academic year. Pupils who wish to be elected to the Student Council are asked to create a video or speech identifying why they would make a good Councillor.

All pupils participate in the election which is done by secret ballot; this helps to reinforce their understanding of the democratic process and can be related to other elections taking place.

The Student Council meets every term but also has working parties within it that meet more regularly to carry out actions and tasks. The Student Council plays a pivotal role in being an active voice of the students and influencing decisions at the Learning Centre. A big thank you and well done to all our students who voted and took part in the various stages
