Welcome back to the Summer Term. We hope all our pupils, families and staff had a restful and enjoyable break.
Returning for the Summer Term presents a mixture of emotions of our learners - excitement about the improving weather, nervousness about upcoming exams, Anxiety about transitioning to new colleges in September and joy that the Summer Holidays are just around the corner!
We are here to support your child through these times of change, and encourage positive home/school communication to help us achive this.
Enjoy your weekend, stay safe

CL1
CL1 have made an excellent start to the term, showing fantastic enthusiasm and a real willingness to learn from the very first week. The children have settled back into routines quickly, approached new challenges with confidence, and produced some great work across the curriculum. Their positive attitude, teamwork, and focus have set a strong tone for the term ahead.

CL2
Today some of the students in CL2 went to visit the new Oldham Market Hall. We walked into the town centre and used our road safety awareness.
We had a look around the new market stalls and discussed what items where being sold in each unit. The students had brought some money in, so they practised their money skills by purchasing goods that they wanted.
We went to Mammas Café on the ground floor. The ladies there here friendly and the students chose and paid for their own drinks.
Whilst we were in the café the market Hall fire alarm sounded. The students behaved impeccably and we left the building calmly and safely the staff in the Market Hall praised the students for the way they exited the building promptly and safely and for their good manners.
Well done, CL2

Lumenus
Lumenus have officially begun rehearsals for dance explosion, and excitement is already building as student start bringing their performance to live.
Before stepping into the studio, the group worked collaboratively to shape their routine from the ground up. Student shared ideas, discussed creative concepts, and voted together to decide an overall theme for this year’s performance. They also carefully selected the music, choosing tracks that best match the energy and message they wanted to convey on stage.
This process gave everyone the chance to have their voice heard and play an important role in the creative direction of the performance. It was fantastic to see students working as a team, listening to each other’s ideas, and making decisions together.
Now the rehearsals are underwear, the focus has turned to learning choreography, refining movement, and building confidence as a group. There is already a real sense of enthusiasm and commitment, and we cannot wait to see the routine develop over the coming weeks.
We are incredibly proud of the teamwork, creativity, and the dedication shown so far, and look forward to watching Lumenus shine at dance explosion.
