Mrs T's Blog (25.4.25)
And we are back!
Summer 1 term has begun!
It’s always brilliant to see our young people bounce back into New Bridge after the Easter break.
The pictures from holiday club were amazing and I was able to join in some of the fun activities.
The farm animals went down really well with our students (and staff).
Summer is a lovely term but it’s absolutely jam packed for us here at Roman Road.
This term we begin our transitional journeys for our students to the Pathways (year 9) and the Learning Centre (year 11 – AB and IB).
We also have lots of changes to learning this term – a week on Monday (5th MAY) we are shut for Bank Holiday and on the 9th May we are going to celebrate VE Day (more of this to come ).
In this blog – which is similar to this week – short but sweet – I am sharing 2 pieces of lovely news.
Paul has been invited to Destination Florida to join them for a fun packed break to Florida in October.
This is a really exciting opportunity for our Paul who is real character in year 7 (as you can see from the smile on his face).
I have offered to carry his suitcase (and bring him my Mickey Mouse ears) but he said “no”. We are sure he is going to have THE best time.
Our second piece of news is the progress of another of our year 7 students.
Lennie has had an amazing week and even transitioned and accessed PE in the dining hall this week!
Lennie
We are very proud of him!
So that’s it for me on this very short week.
I'm off this weekend getting ready to celebrate my twin daughters 25th birthday.
Have a brilliant weekend.
Stay safe
