Frosty spell 

This week the frost and cold has arrived here in Failsworth. It has been so so cold and we have been aware of making sure our students are warm and cared for.

At this time – we are always very conscious that the snow may appear – so here is my ‘quick reminder' that if there are any disruptions to school caused by the weather – we will be contacting families and carers in the usual way – via our communication channel and social media.

The weather has not stopped our students working and this week I’ve seen some amazing work from our City outing and the girls teams who represented school to some pizza making and some beautiful artwork from the AB department.

Next week, we will get to share these amazing achievements through our Parents Evening on Wednesday, when we will welcome families and carers into Roman Road.

I also want to share an event I attended yesterday, the Oldham Business Networking event at Billington’s.

It was an interesting morning and we are hoping to make some external connections with business in the group to support our young people in school.
