Learning Centre Blog (8.5.26)
I approach this week’s blog with a range of emotions, both sad and proud.
This week Mrs Tootill’s blog was dedicated to the memory of to one of our past students, Adam McDermott who very sadly passed away last month aged just 28. Adams friends and family said their goodbyes at his funeral held last week.
After attending New Bridge School, Adam attended the Learning Centre for 3 years. Mrs Tootill has shared his love of sports, especially a lifelong Latics fan.
Adam started his work experience at the Learning Centre, keeping our grounds looking pristine as part of our horticulture pathway. He then continued his work ethic as a future finder’s student.
Adam was a great character, and he will be sadly missed, our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this sad time.

I cannot close this week’s blog without mentioning our new partnership with Gallery Oldham and say a big well done to Harry and Rhys who were excited to start their first work experience placement
Please check out this week’s blog for full details.

We look forward to welcoming parents and carers to our parents evening on Wednesday.
Take care
Miss Allison
