Learning Centre Blog (12.6.26)

In English this term we are working around the theme of holidays and travelling.

The group did an activity where they were able to choose their dream holiday destination. They wrote about where they would go, who they would go with and what activities they would like to do.

The group also did a great piece of work where they each created their own holiday bucket filled with activities they would like to do in their holidays.

In pathways we have been looking at different types of leisure activities. We have been outside for walks in nature, looked at the pros and cons of digital leisure and played a variety of board games. We have listened to different types of music and thought about our favourite bands and singers and had a go at watercolour painting. 

In maths, the group are learning about weighing in kilos and grams. Each student has practiced packing a suitcase. They had to choose suitable items for a holiday and think about the size and weight of their chosen items. They then used a digital scale to weight their case when it was packed.
