Happy Half Term (25.10.24)
Happy Half Term!
We are finally at the end of term and what a massive 8 weeks it’s been.
We've just waved off the students and said our “goodbyes “for the break and they've skipped out the door holding lots of Halloween goodies and – dare I say it – more pumpkins.
I think we really do need a patch for next year.
This week myself and the team have been out watching lots of wonderful learning – from Macbeth to movement. It has been such a joy to see such brilliant teaching and learning.
This week we hosted our new starters coffee morning and it’s safe to say – it was one of the best attended mornings that we have hosted. Thanks to Mr Pritchard – our head of year 7 and Miss Cotton and the team for inviting parents and carers to meet our amazing staff teams.
The magic that happens here at New Bridge is not just for the Halloween month and it’s something that doesn’t happen by accident.
Our staff teams work so hard to ensure that our students are cared for, have a love for learning and are supported and challenged – in all areas of the school.
Our staff teams are a dedicated team of people who create the magic. Thank you to all of you and I hope you get the rest you need in this break and come back energised and ready for Autumn 2 – notably one of our busiest terms.
Next week, Mrs Bingley and the team will be running holiday club and I'm sure our spooky theme will continue into next week. I'm sure the pictures will be amazing.
That’s it for me. Time for me to clock off (not forgetting THAT change this weekend) for a week.
Thank you to all our students, families, carers and key partners who have played a massive part in creating the magic that has been Autumn 1.
Stay safe
Take care
Mrs T
