Students Inspired at the Arnold UK
In March, students from New Bridge College and New Bridge Pathways had the fantastic opportunity to attend the Arnold UK, where they experienced an exciting day filled with fitness, sport and inspiration.
Throughout the event, students explored a range of exhibitions, watched elite athletes demonstrate their skills, and learned about the importance of health, wellbeing and maintaining an active lifestyle. The event brought together people from across the fitness industry, providing a unique insight into the dedication and hard work required to achieve success in sport and fitness.
Students were particularly inspired by the athletes and industry professionals they met during the day. Many enjoyed discovering the wide variety of career opportunities available within the health, fitness and sports sectors. The Arnold UK provided an unforgettable experience, leaving students motivated and inspired to pursue their own personal goals. We are extremely proud of how the students represented New Bridge and we look forward to providing more exciting opportunities like this in the future.
Students from Destiny captured the energy of the day perfectly, thank you Destiny...
A Snapshot of Success: Students Capture Reverse Employment Event at Hawthorns School
Students from Destiny did an outstanding job capturing the recent Reverse Employment Event, demonstrating professionalism, creativity, and excellent technical skills throughout the morning.
The event provided a fantastic further opportunity for students to put their media talents into practice as they photographed key moments, interviewed participants and documented the inspiring interactions between employers and young people. Their dedication ensured that the atmosphere, excitement, and success of the event were captured perfectly.
Well done to all involved! 📸🎥👏

A Canvas Full of Character: Minnie Mouse Comes to Life
We are delighted to celebrate the incredible achievement of one of our talented students, Paris, who has demonstrated exceptional dedication, perseverance and creativity in producing a stunning oil painting of Mickey Mouse.
From the very beginning of the painting, Paris approached the task with enthusiasm and determination. Oil painting is a challenging medium that requires patience, precision and attention to detail. Throughout the process, Paris showed remarkable commitment, carefully developing her techniques and constantly striving to improve her work.
The finished painting is a vibrant and impressive piece that captures the character and charm of Mickey Mouse while showcasing the Paris’ growing artistic skills. Particular attention was paid to colour blending, shading, and fine detail, resulting in a high-quality final piece that reflects many hours of hard work.
What makes this achievement even more special is the resilience shown along the way. Paris embraced feedback positively, overcame challenges and never gave up when areas of the painting became difficult.
We are incredibly proud of Paris’s effort and accomplishment. This oil painting is not only a fantastic piece of artwork but also a testament to the value of hard work, perseverance and creativity.
Well done Paris on a truly outstanding achievement! 🎨👏

Girls Group
This week at Girls Group, we had two very special guests. We were joined by New Bridge MAT Executive Director Shirley Wood-Gallagher and New Bridge School’s Chair of Governors Andrea Greenwood.
The Girls’ Group took part in a thoughtful and uplifting journaling session focused on positivity, self-belief, and gratitude.
The girls spent time creating their own inspirational quote journals, carefully selecting meaningful quotes that encouraged confidence, resilience, and kindness. These quotes served as a reminder that a positive mindset can help us overcome challenges and celebrate our strengths.
As part of the activity, the group also shared a daily positive affirmation. The girls discussed encouraging statements about themselves and reflected on the importance of speaking kindly to themselves and recognising their achievements.
To finish the session, everyone took time to think about and record the things they are grateful for. From family and friends to hobbies, school successes, and special memories, the girls recognised the many positive aspects of their lives. This reflective activity helped promote wellbeing and encouraged appreciation for both the big and small things that bring happiness.
The session was enjoyed by all and provided a valuable opportunity for the girls to build confidence, practise self-reflection, and support one another in a positive and encouraging environment.
