Lumenus
During this half term, Lumenus students have been working diligently on their accreditation portfolios, choreography, and creating a music playlist.
They have been completing units for their BTEC Entry 3, Level 1, and Level 2 Performing Arts accreditations, focusing on rehearsing for a performance. This has included refresher rehearsals for Cod Save the RSPCA, which will be performed again on April 4th at Billingtons as part of our Chicago Fundraiser.
Looking ahead to June, we are excited to take part in the Salford Dance Explosion once again. The students have selected their track and begun choreographing a lyrical piece for this year’s performance.
With many students traveling to Chicago in May, our Music studies have explored the history and influences that have shaped American music. In the coming weeks, we will shift our focus to the Manchester music scene.
Last Friday, the students heading to Chicago had the opportunity to virtually meet their counterparts and staff over Teams. It was a fantastic introduction, and everyone is incredibly excited for the exchange!
