CL Gen
This week CL Gen went to Oldham Library. The students all enjoyed finding new books to read. They also had the opportunity to spend some time in the sensory room which they all found very relaxing.
In their Pathway lessons CL Gen have been learning about ways to help the environment and today they worked together to build a bug hotel.

CLTech CPR
In CLTech today we had RSHE. We have been looking at Drugs and Alcohol for our topic this term. The class had fun with our ‘beer goggles’ which makes the students feel like they are intoxicated.
Following the white line on the road was a challenge. We are now thinking of what other tasks we could do whilst wearing them
Have a great weekend.

Lumenus
This term Lumenus have started working on their BTEC accreditation.
This involves producing a portfolio which will be done through PPT. They will be showing all the skills they have learnt throughout the year, especially their leadership skills.
This term alongside the accreditation, Lumenus have been working on delivering workshops. During their pathway lessons they have been practicing their workshop skills within the group to develop their confidence.
Each student is taking ownership of delivering a session of the workshop. Below are two examples of the students' scripts that they developed to deliver their part.
Hi, my name is Maisie and today in the workshop, I am doing the mobilisation. Here is a step-by-step instruction for you.
1. Move your head around in circles 5 times in each direction.
2. Then next move your shoulders around in circle in both directions.
3. Then we did our elbows in a circle motion.
4. Then we did our wrist, and we move them around in a circle motion.
5. Then we all do our hips, and we move then in a circle remember to change direction.
6. Then we do our knees, and we move them up and down like you're going to stamp.
7. Then we do our ankles, and we spin then round and around in a circle.

I lead the games part of the workshop; I started off by explaining the first game we were going to play; the game was called The Imaginary Box. It was no ordinary box because it was magical and you had to imagine what was in the box, we took turns, one by one and there were remarkably interesting things in there. After it got back to me, I passed it on to Macie for the next game.
By the end of the term, we will be delivering these workshops to the Community Pathways.
