Community Living Sport 2 Blog
This week in ComLiv Sport 2 we have continued our new topics in our core subjects. In English, we are studying Social Media. We have done some work about emojis and what they mean and abbreviations used while texting on social media. In Maths we have been practicing our times tables from 1-12.
In Food tech, we made apple crumble, practicing our chopping skills, and safely putting items into, and taking them out of the oven using oven gloves.
On Pathway day, we did trampolining, practicing our shapes on the trampoline. We mastered our tuck jump, star jump, pike and straddle! We also practiced our straight bouncing to improve our balance and control on the trampoline.
This Friday, we have done some work on our 3Bs: Be Safe, Be ready and Be respectful. We visited some examples of behaviours that are desired in school, and some behaviours that are against our 3Bs.

Digi 2
We have had a very busy second week back in DIGI 2! We started the week by being given our new enterprise project. We are going to be producing personalised Easter and Eid products to sell to the community.
We are really excited about this so keep your eyes peeled for the letter and order form! In RSE we have discussed the difference between arranged marriage and forced marriage and as always, I was super impressed with the maturity of the students and their thoughtful discussions.
In English we have been focusing on emojis and Social Media and deciphering text slang and abbreviations. As part of our Pathway, we are now focusing on Animation - we have been given a brief to produce a New Bridge Barkers advert. Here are some sneak previews:
This morning we have listened to a lesson around our 3B’s. The students had a fantastic understanding of how to be safe, be respectful and be ready to learn. I think though their favourite part was giving their feedback- especially in regards to awards. Harley, I’m not too sure Mr Mckeown will allow you to have every Friday off school for good behaviour though!

Digi 1
This week Mrs Hollinworth delivered Digi 1’s food technology lesson and she said...
"It has been a delight to teach Digi 1 this week. They have all engaged really well in the lesson. I was particularly impressed with the way Ray helped to support another student.
The group worked well together, and their apple crumble looked and smelt amazing! "
Well done, Digi 1!

The 3 B's
Whilst learning about the 3B’s, Kenzie in Tech 2 did this excellent piece of work on how we demonstrate respect.
