Student Council
After a delayed start the Student Council is most definitely making up for lost time. Despite only being elected in January the students have been making serious waves here at Pathways. With Haidan and Zak now leading the way as President and VP the council have begun to prioritise the key issues.
In the last week they have met with Mr McKeown to discuss developments with the building, they were keen to present their feedback to the big boss and were very happy to hear that lots of their concerns were already being addressed.
On Friday they consulted on some exciting curriculum proposals regarding community living, Mrs Ball was blown away by the insight, passion and creativity of the students contribution, so much so that she has plans for follow up sessions next term.
And of course we cannot forget our important visitors over the last few weeks, in addition to the Ofsted inspector the pupils also welcomed a number of SLT visitors from various sites within the MAT during our peer review visit. On both occasions the student council did themselves and the Pathways proud. The pupils were exceptional hosts, they were able to articulate clearly their hopes for the future and were thoughtful and reflective in sharing their experience of school. I for one cannot wait to see what they do next!
