Remembrance
This week the students in art have made a range of crafts to celebrate Remembrance day on Monday. The students made felt poppies, suncatchers and produced a collaborative art piece that has been displayed in school. The students understood what the different coloured poppies symbolised and why a poppy is the symbol of Remembrance Day.
Digi 2 looked at the poem Flanders Fields and dissected the language that was emotive. They then drew a remembrance picture but left gaps to highlight their chosen words.
CL-EMP
During our first week back after half term CL-EMP has continued their hard work volunteering at the local church. Their confidence in their ability has grown and they have shown that they can work independently. A few of the students have also requested more work for the next time they go! Overall, we have had an excellent week!
