Digi Group 1

This week in Food technology Digi 1 had decided as a class they were going to make Biscoff cheese cake. They started by crushing some Biscoff biscuits, then whipping by hand the cream cheese and cream then adding some Biscoff sauce on the top. Digi 1 have really impressed Miss McMurray and Mrs Lungu with their skills in the kitchen, they are even amazing and cleaning up afterwards.

In preparation for the Christmas markets students have been using their creative skills to design and make Christmas cards, keyring and decorations. The preparation for the markets has tied in with our Learning for Life lessons where we have been developing our motor skills and communication skills where students have been working as a team. We are all really looking forward to the Christmas markets which are being held next Thursday for students.

Food Tech

Food this term has been packed with practical lessons. The pupils have made brilliant progress with their knife skills and are now all very confident at the hob with supervision. If you get chance over the festive break why not invite your child to help out in the kitchen, hopefully you will be impressed at how much progress they have made.

Also you will see some lovely sweet treats being made in the gallery, we have been busy preparing for our Christmas markets next week so don’t forget to bring in some money on Thursday!

Thursday Adventure

"Hello, my name is Haidan, yesterday I went to Oldham Athletics with some members of the college. We represented Newbridge Pathways and Newbridge College; it was fun, a nice break from lessons and I am glad that I was given the opportunity to go.

I was on a table with Blake and Corey, and it was very nice and very fun to be with them for the day.

We were on a table with 2 other schools, we played some games, did a couple of surveys and was able to get tons of free things.

We had an amazing lunch it was very delicious afterwards we went and did some arts and craft, later we created beautiful patterns on disks, and they were amazing. Ps: Everyone have a wonderful weekend."
