Mrs T's Blog (20.6.25)
We are back from our Disney experience, and we’ve had so much feedback from students and families in what was a fun packed week. Back here at New Bridge there was so much happening and I loved seeing the pictures of students learning and activities over the last week.
This week has been incredibly busy. The blog this week has been provided by Key Stage 4, who are sharing their very own ‘around the world' experience.
"This week in our travels around the world Miss Williams' class visited Africa, we enjoyed using all of our senses to explore the different parts of Africa. On our journey we had a photo with Lennie the Lion, we were very lucky he had already eaten his dinner!! We enjoyed feeling the sand under our feet, just like in Africa.
This week we have also counted snacks cracks and banana to feed to safari animals. Some of us were asked to feed them 6 crackers and 5 bananas. We did a great job at following instructions to make sure the animals weren't hungry.
On Thursday afternoon we visited the Moroccan markets and indulged in all the different foods and drinks made there. We each made a sweet cinnamon cous cous, we added raisins and orange. It smelt delicious!!!
What a great week we have had; we can't wait to see what next week’s country brings!!"

Thank you, Miss Williams, and KS4. It’s certainly felt as hot as Africa this week as we begin to experience the heat wave. We are making sure all our young people are hydrated and that any exposure to the sun is protected by suncream.
At New Bridge we also love to celebrate birthdays and this week our very own Ms Costigan celebrates a big milestone. Angela is a massive asset in our school family. She ensures students personal care is looked after by supporting a dedicated team. She ensures our students receive any medication and she’s one of my amazing Disney people who made our trip go so smoothly. Angie – happy birthday. We hope you have a really special day.
The last part of the year is always a funny time. For our students there’s always a little bit of insecurity about what’s around the corner. Whether that’s in this building or somewhere else within New Bridge. Our job, at this time is just to reassure our children and families that while the next step is daunting, it’s also exciting .
That’s it for me this week.
Have a great sunny weekend.
Stay safe
