Mrs T's Blog (12.12.25)
We have 5 more get ups and an incredibly busy week next week.
But to this week, Christmas really has begun and I’ve seen it ‘woven’ beautifully into teaching and learning.
A special ‘shout out' needs to go to the video uploaded by 7DBN – which was an amazing rendition of ‘Silent Night' signed by the class and student led (well done, Maddison). Stunning.
Christmas is a joyful time for our students and next week we have some fun events planned to include
- Christmas jumper day
- Christmas dinner (always fun for everyone apart from Kerry – our school cook and her team)
- Santa visiting site
- Stars in your Eyes (one of my favourite events)
We also have to think about some of our young people who don’t enjoy this time of the year – due to lots of issues such as sensory overload, lack of routine and sometimes everything just being far too much. For those students, we are keeping Christmas ‘low key' and making sure that Christmas does not mean chaos or crisis. And I think the AB team did this beautifully through making some festive decorations and some cup cakes.
That’s it for me...
Our blogs will be filled with pictures of happy students as we move into the last week of the Autumn term.
I'm leaving the blog with a picture of my Santa Dash medal – just to prove I did actually finish it!

Have a fab weekend
Stay safe
Mrs T
