Mental Health Awareness Day
This week we celebrated Mental Health Awareness Day.
Our school was a hive of yellow and the students took part in some amazing work around raising awareness and how can we make sure we keep our mind (and body) healthy.
My blog this week has been courtesy of 9CHS and the work they have completed around Mental Health. With support from the class team, the group have looked at how they can be healthy and keep the gloomy thoughts away.
The class listed lots of activities – such as listening to music, exercising, keeping calm and – this is my favourite by Gracie – taking 2 minutes to focus on the world around you. This is something I love, but don’t do very often if I’m honest .
They even incorporated our New Bridge bees into the poster – so now we also have the helpful bee, the listening bee, the healthy bee and again – my favourite bee – the kind bee. I think this is something we definitely need to develop.
Mental Health Awareness Day
Thank you 9CHS – you really have been benefited to my mental health and well-being over the past few days and thanks for my beautiful artwork – which is something I will be looking at every day and I will definitely be focusing on the world around me – namely our amazing students and staff.
We only have 10 days left of this half term and its really has flown by.
Next week, the senior team is going to be out and about – watching some brilliant teaching and learning.
It is really the best part of our job and really good for our mental health and well-being.
That’s it for me.
Have a brilliant weekend everyone, stay safe and make sure, if you can, take 2 minutes to focus on the world around you.
