Mrs Reade’s class have also been busy
“Over the past few weeks we have been learning about visiting cafes and restaurants looking at how to order food and talk about different meals.
The students really enjoyed talking about their favourite foods. We have been making pumpkins dressing up in our costumes everyone looked brilliant.”
Please check out the pictures of students preparing their Remembrance Day displays. We’re running a competition next week for the best class display, I look forward to sharing all the pictures within next week’s blog.
And on to next week...
...which is another busy one.
On Monday afternoon, Mr Barker is holding our LC Parents and Carers Group. All are welcome, it's an opportunity to meet with other parents and carers, share worries or concerns and develop links with other families.
Our hope is that, through coming together, families will feel less isolated. If you would like any further information, please do call the Learning Centre.
On Tuesday we will be observing Remembrance Day and holding a two-minute silence at 11.00.
On Thursday we are holding our @Kindness Café’ as part of ‘World Kindness Day’.
On Friday, it is of course ‘Children in Need' Day – better get my Pudsey gear out!.
Have a lovely weekend
Take Care
Miss Allison

It was a busy and exciting term for Ebase4, filled with creativity, exploration and lots of learning. From spooky Halloween fun to outdoor education and traveling the world through out enrichment lessons. Here’s a look at some of the highlights from the past few weeks.
Halloween fun in the classroom
This term, our class had a fantastic time celebrating Halloween with a range of spooky and creative activities. We have enjoyed a sensory story of Room on the broom, where we explored different textures, sounds and smells bringing the story to life. Everyone got hands on carving pumpkins, showing there amazing designs and teamwork. Our effects even paid off; we were thrilled to come second place in the school pumpkin competition. It was a wonderful mix of imagination, fun and a few friendly frights.
Exploring nature in outdoor education
In outdoor education, ebase4 have been busy exploring the school grounds and discovering all sorts of treasures in nature. We went fruit picking and found crab apples, sloe berries and even some juicy pears growing nearby. While exploring we also spotted a variety of fascinating mushrooms, including the common bonnet, honey fungus, golden wax and the deceiver. It was exciting to learn how to identify them and see how much life there is just beyond the classroom doors. Our adventures outdoors helped us appreciate the changing seasons and the beauty of autumn.
Enrichment: A trip around the world – destination Mexico!
During enrichment sessions, we have been traveling around the world, without leaving the classroom. Our most recent stop was Mexico, where we discovered interesting facts about the country and learned how to say ‘hello’ in Spanish, as well as how to count from one to ten. To make the experience even more fun, we wore colourful sombreros, listened to traditional music, and had a little dance together. The highlight of the lesson was making and tasting our own nachos, a delicious end to a cultural adventure.
Ebase 4 have had amazing first term full of learning, laughter and new experiences. We can’t wait to see what exciting adventures the next term will bring.
