College Blog - 10.1.25

Lumenus

This week, the Lumenus group remained in College to focus on their BTEC coursework.

During Pathway lessons, all students have been rehearsing Cod Save the RSPCA, their devised pantomime. This production will contribute to all levels of BTEC assessment, including Entry 3, Level 1, and Level 2.

On Tuesday, Katy from Touchdown Dance visited College to lead a Movement Therapy session. Together, we collaborated to choreograph a short dance, with everyone contributing a unique move.

In Friday's Music session, we explored more ideas for sound effects and music to enhance the pantomime.

Lumenus - 10.1.25

We previously gave a sneak preview of the performance at Billingtons before Christmas. Since then, we've added new dances and plenty of hilarious shenanigans—it’s shaping up to be a real treat!

Girls Group

This week we welcomed Dr Shirley Woods-Gallagher who spoke to the girls and showed them the Diversity Award she was presented with.

We were a little low on the girl numbers today, but the other girls loved the conversations with Shirley and even managed to hold the award.

We will be displaying the award and bag in a cabinet with a description and photos of making the bag.

Thank you for sharing your experience Shirley and we luck forward to making things in the future for you.
