Celebrating good times…
This week New Bridge has been very much full of celebration and success. Following the bank holiday, many of our children and families celebrated Eid. In these blogs I talk about that our school is a family, so this week our NB family celebrated Eid.
We ‘ve had 2 full days of lots of cross curriculum events, including performing arts, sports, as well as learning experiences and activities. All in all, it has been amazing.
Last week we were also so busy recruiting new staff. New Bridge continues to grow and, as a result, we needed to look at how we can develop our existing staff and our ever-developing curriculum. We are pleased to announce that we have new leads in:
RSHE – Mr Pitchard
Outdoor Education – Mr Hollingworth
Art – Ms Mullin
Living Skills – Miss Hanks
Learning for Life – Miss Coleman Celis
Science – Miss Anglin
Food – Mr Atkin
Communication – Miss Orgacki
Well done to all those staff and we are excited around the development of all those curriculum areas, as well as the outstanding work we do in all parts of the school.
Finally, we also welcomed Alison Matthews to our staff team. Alison will be working alongside our staff teams and NHS staff, Grace and Katy, to look at Speech and Language within New Bridge. Alison began her work with us by sitting in some of the EHCP reviews to find out how we run reviews and how we ensure all voices are being heard.
Next week, I am hoping to share important dates in this very busy summer term.
We will also be sending out information on Mental Health Week and our ‘wear something green day‘.
Have a brilliant weekend (I think the sun is finally coming out!)
